The Laundromat June 1st 2014

I finally found the Laundromat! I know… the simple joys of learning a new area. I could have used the washer and dryer downstairs but I only had $1.25 in quarters and that wasn’t going to cut it. So I used some of the few precious data chunks I have left and googled how to get to Levee’s Tan and Laundry. Well when I found it you would have think I found the Holy Grail I was so damn excited. It was a huge Laundromat with a lot of very interesting people to watch and listen to. But they had Wi-Fi and TVs so that was nice.

I of course was one of the dingbats that had to read the instructions on the washer and dryer to know what I was doing. It has been a long time since I have had to go out to do laundry. But I figured it out and now I have clean scrubs for the week.

I had to celebrate my excited day with some food and beer. I found a place across from the Laundromat called Wabash Landing. It had a few stores and a restaurant called Scotty’s Brewhouse. I had a nice local beer from Three Wise Men brewery in Indy and some fish tacos. I would have taken a picture but I was hungry.

I was pretty proud of myself today. I even found a park on 9th street called Andersons Park (I think) that I will go to one day this week for a run. They seemed to have some nice trails. I am sure it will be a slow, short run since I have not laced up my running shoes since Black Mountain. Oh well!

Cheers to adventure and finding new things in a new land!!!
