Idle Hands…

So I needed a creative outlet up here in Indiana. When in Raleigh I took our race bibs and framed them. I would put our times on them along with the date and location of the race. I enjoyed making them. Jesse and I would hang them on a long wall upstairs and we called it our wall of accomplishment. Although we are still running races as we travel, lugging all those frames and craft paper is a bit much. I needed a smaller, lighter and cheaper craft project.

I have started making friendship bracelets again!

I used to make them when I was little. I remember my friend Julie and me making them in class under our desk. Often we had them pinned to our jeans; I had to use a clipboard to hold mine still. My bracelets kept curling and now I know why. I made only one knot instead of two. Too bad it took twenty years for me to figure that out.

So far I have made four for me and one for Jesse. I have learned how to make a chevron pattern and it is pretty cool. I found that I can make a normal striped one in one night, kinda like the red, white and blue one on my ankle. The chevron ones took forever but they are my favorite.

If anyone wants one let me know what colors and how big. I am running out of room on my wrists and ankles!

Me, me, me!!! I used to make those all of the time too! I had a really long bus ride so that’s where I made a lot of mine. But, I can’t remember how to do them anymore! If you’re bored, I love all shades of greens and blues! Any pattern is cool and I will wear it till it falls off, regardless if it matches the outfit or not. Besides, when have I ever been really good at matching anyway??? Hope you are having a great time and so proud of you for trying something this wild!

    Hey Chrysa

Mom wants one that is all Blue or different shades of Blue. I would like Black Gold and Gray but if not Red White and Blue works.
